The IETF 123 plenary meeting took place in Madrid, Spain from July 19–25, 2025, bringing together global engineers, researchers, and policy experts for a week of technical sessions, hackathons, and meetings to advance open internet protocols.
The meeting started with the IETF Hackathon, where the TID team presented multiple prototypes that build upon the research activities conducted within the cPAID project:
- The Mouseworld: Framework that demonstrates the application of knowledge graphs for creating network digital twins. This implementation relies on standards from the Semantic Web and the Linked Open Terms (LOT) methodology, in combination with the Chimera open-source project.
- Data provenance: A suite of libraries and mechanisms for signing and validating data collected from the network. This implementation leverages COSE for compact and efficient signatures.
Additionally, as leader of standardization activities in the cPAID project, the TID team took an active role in this meeting by chairing the GREEN group on network sustainability and contributing to multiple working groups such as NMOP, OPSAWG, NETCONF, or NMRG, in aspects related to network digital twins, knowledge graphs, and data management.
