Also, Uni Systems will actively contribute to the management of the technical aspects of the project to guarantee the achievement of cPAID’s scientific objectives and will contribute on the Pilot Use case Specifications. Moreover, Uni Systems will actively participate in the cPAID adversarial AI attack cyber range and will be responsible for the AI risk management of the project. Additionally, Uni Systems will be involved in the project’s platform integration and validation, and will remain active in all the Dissemination, Standardization and Exploitation activities of the project.

In the cPAID project, Suite5 leads the Adversarial AI Prevention and Capacity Building work package; this includes but is not limited to coordinating the development of the AI attack cyber range, producing results related to the definition and development of the architecture of cPAID risk management, as well as supporting the coding & testing of the AI-assisted Adversarial Intrusion Detection and Prevention System. Suite5 shall further contribute to the requirements & architecture definition, support the implementation of Generative Adversarial AI module, and finally integrate and refine the modules of interest towards an integrated platform. cPAID is important for Suite5, as R&D activities form an integral part of the identity of the company, who has been long active in research and innovation projects funded by the European Commission. UNIVERSITAT POLITECNICA DE VALENCIA
The SATRD (Sistemas y Aplicaciones en Tiempo Real Distribuido) group is part of the Communication Department of the Universitat Politècnica de València. It is composed of 2 professors and 22 researchers developing different activities related to the area of real-time systems with distributed nature and its applications, requiring for them a thorough knowledge of communications systems.
The group has two main research areas:
1. Cyber security & Cyber intelligence. This area is specialized in command-and-control systems, virtual reality systems applied to emergency management training related to emergency management, interoperability of command-and-control systems, wireless tactical communications systems, homeland security-related applications, transfer applications content in IP networks, video streaming, QoE, wireless sensor networks, Sensor Web Enablement.
2. IoT digitisation. This area specialises in IoT, Big Data, Machine Learning, innovative applications using 5G, sensors, data processing (where our experience with AIS and satellite data stands out), edge computing, and Cloud-Edge continuum. The SATRD has a deep understanding of the application of the latest technologies in different environments, which has resulted in multiple publications in journals and conferences of references (see publications section).
In the area of research projects, the SATRD group collaborates with national and international companies from different fields and sectors. The group has continuous participation in EC-funded R&D projects and in technology transfer where its involvement ranges from project coordination to technical coordination and development and contribution to real pilots.
CAFA TECH OU
CAFA Tech is an Estonian technology company founded in 2015, specializing in 5G drones, robotics, and energy technologies with a focus on advanced batteries. The company creates autonomous systems that replace human labor in dangerous and demanding environments.One of its key innovations, the CAFA 5G Drone, features a 3-meter wingspan, a 150-kilometer range, and vertical take-off and landing capabilities, making it ideal for heavy payload transport. HELLENIC MEDITERRANEAN UNIVERSITY
Pasiphae Lab operates as a research unit within the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, situated in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Established formally in 2003 as an extension of the Multimedia, Networks, and Communications Laboratory, Pasiphae Lab embodies a comprehensive mission encompassing academic, research, and development pursuits. In more detail, under the leadership of the Principal Investigator, Prof. Evangelos Markakis, the lab specializes in state-of-the-art research within the domain of Computer Networks, including Cybersecurity and Emergency Communications Networks. Aligned with the Digital European Strategy, our research endeavours focus on developing innovative digital solutions in the field. Additionally, with its robust track record in both EU-funded and national projects, Pasiphae Lab has played multifaceted roles ranging from software and application development to technical coordination. Finally, Pasiphae Lab actively engages in standardization activities with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and the European Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA). Its participation in their Task forces is geared towards updating guidelines for Emergency Communications Network Resilience and Preparedness and addressing security considerations in Fog and Edge Computing within the 5G ecosystem, respectively.
UNIVERSITY GENERAL HOSPITALOF HERAKLION PAGNI
PAGNI is the largest hospital facility in Crete and one of the largest public hospitals in the country, with 800 beds and more than 2200 employees. Currently, PAGNI is using an integrated information system that links the hospital medical care, the pharmacy, the patient flows and records. The servers are located at the hospital’s server room running services like authentication and authorization (e.g. Role Based Access Control), relational database management system (RDBMS) hosting, data storage and middleware’s for the communication with external systems. Multiple software solutions coming from different vendors are in place and integrated in order to ensure smooth operation of the hospital.

AEGIS IT RESEARCH GmbH (AEGIS for short) is a research-driven ICT SME, based in Germany, managing and developing innovative IT solutions for numerous business sectors. CNIT (National, Inter-University Consortium for Telecommunications) is a non-profit, Italian consortium, established in 1995, which performs research, innovation, technology transfer of research results towards end-users and industry and education/training activities in the field of the Information and Communication Technology.

Founded in Sofia, Bulgaria, in 2018, K3Y primarily serves the European and Bulgarian markets while actively participating in both national and European Union (EU)-funded projects. K3Y’s core activities are categorised into two primary areas: (a) Cybersecurity Services and (b) R&D Activities.
