cPAID in 89th Thessaloniki International Fair

As part of the 89th Thessaloniki International Fair, Christos Xenakis had the honour of participating as a keynote speaker at the (Re)Solve Hackathon, organised by Open Conf.

In his keynote, entitled “The Dual-Edged Sword of Modern Technology,” Chrisots Xenakis explored the transformative potential of artificial intelligence while addressing the growing cybersecurity risks associated with its widespread adoption. The presentation highlighted how AI-driven innovation can significantly enhance efficiency and decision-making, while simultaneously introducing new and sophisticated threat vectors.

During the talk, Christos Xenakis presented the cPAID EU-funded project, showcasing its research contributions toward building secure, trustworthy, and privacy-aware digital systems. The project’s objectives and results were discussed in the context of emerging AI-enabled cyber threats, underlining the importance of trust-by-design and resilience-by-design approaches.

The session stimulated an engaging discussion among hackathon participants and attendees, reinforcing the need to balance technological innovation with robust cybersecurity measures and responsible deployment practices.
